Bar code learning! (QR codes)

Imagine if your students could use their mobile phone cameras to scan a bar code and receive information to support their learning. Or, if they are in the library, lab, multimedia studio - what if they could scan a bar code on a physical item; a model of the the hip for example, and receive detailed information about that? Think how much more accessible this type of technology can be for learners with disabilities and different learning styles.

Well imagine no more. Not only is this possible, but we here in the e-Learning team have tried and tested it - and what's more, it works!

The geeky stuff:

The QR(Quick response code) is a two-dimensional bar code that could be
added to any physical product and act like a website link. To get to the link,
just focus the camera phone or PDA that has QR reading software installed, and you will be lead to a website that corresponds to the related product.

2. Use the application to scan this barcode (you can do it directly from the screen - no need to print)
